Brass
Brass is a copper-zinc alloy that machines very easily and resists corrosion. Free-machining leaded brass such as CW614N / CZ121 is the standard for turned fittings, valves and connectors.
When to Choose Brass
- Parts are turned in high volume
- Moderate corrosion resistance and good appearance are needed
- The part is a fitting, valve, connector or bush
- Electrical conductivity with easy machining is useful
