Forgings & Special Components Questions

Can you quote a forging from my drawing?

Yes. Send the drawing, grade and quantity and we quote to it. We review it with our forging partners before we confirm the price and delivery date.

What sizes of forgings do you supply?

Round forgings from Ø 250 to 1,030 mm and square forgings from 280 to 800 mm, in lengths of 2–10 m. Single pieces go up to about 10 t.

Which grades can you forge?

EN8, EN19, EN24, 42CrMo4, 34CrMo4, 18CrNiMo7-6, 16MnCr5 and 20MnCr5 among others. Send us any grade on your drawing.

Do you forge in-house?

No. OneKaizen forges through our partners, including ABS in Italy and Parbhat Heavy Forge in India. We handle sourcing, heat treatment, inspection and delivery.

What is the difference between a forging and a rolled bar?

A forging is shaped by pressing, which refines the grain and closes internal voids in large sections. Rolled bar tops out at about Ø 350 mm, so larger sections come only as forgings.

Do forgings come with test certificates?

Yes. Every forging ships with a mill certificate showing chemistry and mechanical tests, traceable to the heat number. UT is available as specified.

Do you deliver forgings across India and export them?

Yes. OneKaizen delivers to plants across India and exports forgings to buyers abroad with export packing and documents.

Can you supply forgings machined to size?

Yes. OneKaizen rough machines forgings through our machine-shop partners to your drawing, so you receive them with the machining allowance you specify.

Sizes, grades and tolerances above are our standard range. Other sizes and grades are available on request. Final values are confirmed against your drawing and the mill certificate.
