Bright Bars Questions

What is the difference between cold drawn, peeled and ground bright bars?

Cold drawn bars are pulled through a die for size and added strength. Peeled bars are machined to remove the outer skin. Ground bars are finished on a grinder for the tightest tolerance and best surface.

What sizes of bright bars do you supply?

Round bright bars from Ø 8 to 160 mm and hex bars from 18 to 50 mm AF, in lengths up to 6–7 m. We also cut to length.

Which grades are available as bright bars?

Over 100, including EN8, EN9, EN1A, EN19, EN24, EN31, 16MnCr5, 20MnCr5, SAE 8620 and SS 304 / 316. Search the catalogue for any grade.

What tolerance can you hold on bright bars?

h9–h11 on drawn bars, h11 on peeled bars and IT9 down to IT6 on ground bars.

Do bright bars come with test certificates?

Yes. Every bar ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate traceable to the heat number.

Do you supply bright bars outside Maharashtra?

Yes. OneKaizen delivers across India, including Chennai, Bengaluru, Rajkot, Chandigarh and Delhi NCR, and exports to buyers abroad.

Is EN8 bright bar the same as C45?

They are close equivalents, not identical. EN8 (080M40) has slightly lower carbon than C45. For most shafts and machined parts they are interchangeable; check critical applications with our team.

What is the minimum order for bright bars?

3 tonnes. We can adjust this depending on the grade, size and your situation, so ask us if you need less.

Sizes, grades and tolerances above are our standard range. Other sizes and grades are available on request. Final values are confirmed against the order standard and mill certificate.
