Inconel Alloys Questions
What is Inconel?
Inconel is the trade name of a family of nickel-chromium alloys. They resist heat, oxidation and corrosion, and some grades are age hardened for high strength.
Which Inconel grades does OneKaizen supply?
OneKaizen supplies Alloy 600, 601, 617, 625, 690, 718 and X-750. Send us the grade or UNS number on your order.
What is the difference between Inconel 625 and 718?
Alloy 625 is solution strengthened and resists seawater and chemical attack. Alloy 718 is age hardened and gives much higher strength at moderate temperatures.
Inconel or Hastelloy: which should I choose?
Inconel suits heat and oxidation. Hastelloy suits strong acids and reducing chemicals. Tell us the service and we will advise on the grade.
What forms and sizes do you supply?
Round bar from Ø 29 to 500 mm, with sheet, plate and forgings to order. Rolled bar goes up to Ø 350 mm and larger sizes come forged.
Do you supply certificates?
Yes. OneKaizen ships every lot with a mill certificate showing chemistry and mechanical tests, traced to the heat number.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order depends on grade and size, and OneKaizen confirms it on enquiry. OneKaizen supplies to the UNS or ASTM grade from approved mills. Inconel is a trade name of Special Metals Corporation.
Final grades, sizes and condition are confirmed against the mill's range and your order before we quote.
