Titanium Questions
What is the difference between Titanium Grade 2 and Grade 5?
Grade 2 is commercially pure titanium with good corrosion resistance and easy forming. Grade 5 is Ti-6Al-4V, about three times stronger, and is the grade for aerospace and high-load parts.
What is Grade 23 titanium?
Grade 23 is Ti-6Al-4V ELI, a higher-purity version of Grade 5. It has better toughness and is the standard grade for surgical implants.
Which titanium grade resists corrosion best?
Grade 7 and Grade 12 resist crevice corrosion better than Grade 2. Grade 2 is enough for most seawater and chemical duty.
What sizes of titanium do you supply?
Round bar from Ø 6 to 250 mm and sheet and plate from 0.5 to 100 mm thick. We also cut to length.
Is titanium difficult to machine?
It machines more slowly than steel because it holds heat at the cutting edge. Use sharp tools, low speeds and plenty of coolant.
What is Grade 9 titanium used for?
Grade 9 is Ti-3Al-2.5V. It is stronger than Grade 2, easier to form than Grade 5, and is used for tubing, bicycle frames and aerospace hydraulic lines.
Do you deliver titanium across India and export?
Yes. OneKaizen delivers to plants across India and exports to buyers abroad with packing and documents to match.
Does titanium come with a heat-traceable certificate?
Yes. Every lot ships with a mill certificate for chemistry and mechanical properties, traceable to the heat.
Sizes, grades and tolerances above are our standard range. Other sizes and grades are available on request. Final values are confirmed against the order standard and mill certificate.
