Cold-Rolled and Drawing-Quality Steel
Cold-rolled steels such as IS 513 CR1–CR5 and EN DC01–DC06 are low-carbon flat steels with a smooth surface and close thickness tolerance. Higher grades are made for deeper drawing and pressing.
When to Choose Cold-Rolled and Drawing-Quality Steel
- The part is pressed, deep drawn or bent from sheet
- Surface finish and thickness tolerance matter
- The material will be painted, plated or coated
- Strips must be slit to width for the next operation
