Forging and Pressure Vessel Steel
Forging and pressure vessel steels are carbon and chromium-molybdenum grades made for flanges, fittings, valves, boiler drums and pressure parts, specified to ASTM/ASME, EN 10028 and EN 10222. They are tested for toughness at service temperature and supplied with full traceability.
When to Choose Forging and Pressure Vessel Steel
- The part holds pressure: flanges, fittings, valve bodies, vessel shells
- The order names an ASTM/ASME or EN pressure standard
- Low-temperature toughness or high-temperature strength is specified
- Third-party inspection and EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 certificates are required
