Spring Steel

Spring steels combine high yield strength with elasticity so parts return to shape after loading. Silicon-manganese and chromium-vanadium grades are used for leaf springs, coil springs and stabiliser bars.

When to Choose Spring Steel

The part must flex repeatedly without permanent set
High fatigue resistance is required
The part is a coil spring, leaf spring, clip or stabiliser bar
The part will be hardened and tempered after forming
